If there is one thing about which we can be sure, it is that marketing has evolved significantly over the past 10 years and is currently evolving quickly. Our current manner of operating is entirely different from the marketing strategies used in the late 1990s. The majority of folks back then most certainly couldn’t have imagined the things we do now.
The majority of people believed that the internet sprang out of nowhere and that thousands of wwwDOTS could suddenly be found almost everywhere. A few years later, we had banners and pop-up advertisements, both of which were quite effective in their day. Then, in or around 2004, social networking emerged as the most significant development to have ever occurred on the internet. Nine years later, it still shows no signs of slowing down, shaking the internet to its very foundation.
Let’s move the date ahead by ten years to 2023. Then, where will the marketing industry be? I humbly submit that computer-based marketing will essentially go obsolete. When talking about how we originally entered this firm all those years ago, we all giggle at the distant recollection. By 2023, and probably even before, mobile marketing (and, by implication, email marketing) will unquestionably overtake all other forms of advertising.
Smartphones and tablets are gradually displacing laptops and PCs. Actually, the most of cellphones nowadays are quicker and more potent than the majority of PCs available on the market.
They are capable of doing everything a PC can do and more. Businesses and enterprises may start to phase out their websites and concentrate only on apps around 2023. Although people will probably still have their own websites, the major players will consider them to be a little unprofessional and out of date.
If you were to ask me for advise, I’d say that now is the perfect moment to really concentrate on expanding your email list as much as you can and shifting to mobile device marketing. Consider making your websites mobile-friendly right now to avoid being left in the dust by those who were able to board the HMS Smartphone before it sailed.
I’m not suggesting that you abandon your present blogs and webpages, though. They are still very valuable commodities and will remain significant for a while. I’m just letting you know that they won’t continue to be that way forever, and you should really think about starting to sell your products and company via mobile devices right now, if at all feasible.
